Top Chinese Automakers Lead Innovation in EV Radiator Technology with New Patents
Release Time:2025-04-08
Chinese automotive technology firms are driving global innovation in electric vehicle (EV) cooling systems, according to recent patent filings analyzed by industry experts. Companies like ZTE Smart Automobile and Hubei Sanhuan Auto have secured breakthroughs in radiator design, addressing critical challenges like thermal management efficiency and noise reduction.
ZTE’s newly patented top-mounted active radiator structure (CN 222610927 U) integrates advanced airflow optimization, reducing energy consumption by 15% compared to traditional designs. The system features a dual-channel cooling mechanism that adapts to high-speed charging demands, making it ideal for next-generation EV platforms. Meanwhile, Hubei Sanhuan’s angled radiator bracket (CN 222554730 U) improves aerodynamic performance, ensuring consistent heat dissipation even in extreme climates.
"These patents highlight China’s leadership in sustainable mobility solutions," said Dr. Li Wei, a thermal management specialist at Tsinghua University. Aluminum radiators now account for 90% of passenger vehicle cooling systems, driven by their lightweight properties and 20% better heat transfer efficiency than copper alternatives.
